He was quickly usher from the examination room for the next hopeful coming in. A young human warden lead him to where the archangel eggs spanned the tables in rows. He blinked, his brow furrowing in confusion as he turned and looked down at the warden before him. " What the hell am I to do here? Flit around like a fairy on Chak, poking the eggs?"
The warden sighed " No, usually some physical contact helps but your bonded will find you one way or another, if you need anything else just flag down a warden, I'll leave you to it."
Alistar snorted and turned back to the tables in question. " Well here goes nothing."
He had been at ease in the examination room but now his stomach churned. He wasn't good with relationships, even with his family he knew he push to far sometimes, but in was far to ingrained for him to find a trigger in someone to stop now. If he found his andzkin would they be a good match? This was someone he was going to have to spend the rest of his life with. What if they didn't mesh? Gently he picked each egg noting the weight and speckling before putting it back exactly how it had been.
Halfway through the section he was beginning to wonder if his bonded was even an archangel, it wasn't unheard of for a student to have a dragon of a different class. Absentmindedly, he picked up another egg, only to have a wave of possessiveness overtake him. Warmth rushed through him, dispelling the knot of tension in his gut as he sat down in the floor, his back pressed up against one of the table legs, cradling the egg against his body.
He found himself crooning encouragement to the being within. " Come now little one, I know you can do it! I can't wait to meet you and experience all the adventures we're going to have." A genuine smile spread across his features as he waiting, he was giddy, wonderment had replaced the tension within him.
